When conditions become rough and uncertain, our longing for retreat, cocooning and a feeling of coziness grows. This was once again evident at Heimtextil in January 2023 in Frankfurt am Main. Velour, velvet, corduroy variations, flocked goods as well as skins and furs - mostly as imitations - are in as never before. The range of textiles that invite visitors to touch and feel good is as diverse as the technologies used to produce them. An integral part of this is warp knitting.
The manufacturer and marketer of upholstery fabrics fabb, for example, presented an impressive collection of knitted goods with a fur look and velour qualities, which are used as covers for seating furniture and blankets. In its attractive, functional upholstery fabrics, fabb focuses on sustainability.
