Care Solutions now with even more benefits and ease of use
Optimization and expansion of the KARL MAYER GROUP's digital care solutions offerings Learn moreBack in June of this year, Care Solutions expanded its Connectivity Package 2.0 for the warp knitting sector to include the Energy Efficiency Solution (EES).
In the meantime, the existing solutions CORE Lite, WEBSHOP, Dashboard and the EES have been continuously developed. The latest upgrade focused on user-friendliness. Simplified, more intuitive menu navigation and the integration of systems allow the potential of the proven components of the Connectivity Package to be exploited more efficiently.
This article is about:
Buy CORE Lite articles via the WEBSHOP"h2>
With the CORE Lite lapping editor, the customer can easily create or import patterns and transfer them directly to the cloud. The pattern data system (PDS) can be used to optimize the pattern files and make them available for the machine.
Especially for machines that work with a pattern disk, there is now an additional option to buy patterns. The customer simply has to visualize the desired article in CORE Lite and can then transfer it directly to his WEBSHOP shopping cart. The customer benefits from even more flexibility and efficiency. The only requirement is an account for KARL MAYER's tried-and-tested online shopping platform.
The purchasing process is not only simple, but also secure: during the configuration process in CORE Lite, the lapping editor also checks whether the machine type entered is valid. Only if this is the case can the customer purchase the item via the shopping cart icon at the end of the configuration process. In this way, existing EL or ON patterns can also be converted into lapping data for N-Drive machines.
Better overview, more languages - the enhanced dashboard"h2>
The dashboard provides status information about the networked machines and thus ensures an overview and efficient monitoring in production. The available options have been expanded and optimized.
An alternative layout for raschel and lace raschel machines is new, which complements the previous standard view for tricot machines.

The data provided includes the categories “piece”, “stops” and “run length produced per 24 hours”, as before. In addition, there is information on the remaining piece length and current working speeds as parameters that are of particular interest for the performance monitoring of raschel and lace raschel machines. A new tile allows the customers to set which machine overview they want to see with a quick click of the mouse. The new display option is a further step by KARL MAYER Care Solutions towards the desired customization.
“We want to create a layout architecture that allows customers to easily adapt their dashboard to their information needs.”

A further optimization concerns the view of data on the speed statistics of a machine. Previously, time-related individual values were displayed by clicking on a linear speed bar.

Now, a diagram provides a quickly comprehensible overview of the progression of the working speed in relation to the maximum speed and over a period of up to one week.
The customer benefits from a quick gain in information and greater ease of use.
The set of available language versions has also been expanded for greater user-friendliness. Following the latest upgrade, users can choose between English, German, Turkish, Spanish and simplified and traditional Chinese.
Intuitive and optimized use of the Energy Efficiency Solution"h2>
With the EES, customers can record, analyze and optimize the energy consumption of their warp knitting machines. The prerequisite is the “Energy Ready” package, with which all ON machines from KARL MAYER are equipped. A retrofit package is available for KAMCOS® 2 machines.
The solution for lower costs and greater sustainability was expanded in the fall to include a heating timer and thus offers automatic heating of the machines, including mode changes, e.g. from standby to production mode according to a schedule of production and heating times. The solution has been optimized in terms of user-friendliness through targeted further development.
In particular, the creation of timer settings for heating up and starting the machines, updating the settings and assigning them to the machines has been significantly simplified thanks to intuitive menu navigation.
The timer overview has also been upgraded. The impetus for the simplifications came from practical experience.
“We are constantly working to improve our solutions and welcome all customer feedback,” says Markus Bahde. Another optimization concerns the user manual, which now contains explanations of the timer function also in six languages - German, English, Turkish, Chinese, Spanish and Italian.
